(One of the success Achievement)

The Watershed Developmental Team in Ravani village (Vanthali Taluka, Junagadh district) with a population of about 2300 people, helped the Self-help Group together with the Goushala Yuvak Mandal rejuvenate the pastureland that turned barren due to the over exploitation of ground water and animal grazing. Members of the team - men, women and young all together raised the Jowar fodder crop on 5 ha. of the wasteland.
The contributions came in from the project and about 24,000 collected as local contribution. The cultivation yielded about 48,000 kilogram that would be sufficient for 25,000 ruminants paid back Rs.1,68,000 generating a profit of Rs. 38,000 to the WEC. Shouldering these responsibilities to the Yuval Mandal the WEC have handed over these activities to the Mandal to co-ordinate other developmental activities.
