SARDAR AWAS YOJANA
As per DRDA's persistence to create housing facilities for landless agri. labour of the village, BAIF has constructed 90 Awas for BPL families of Kukava & Savarkundla Taluka of Amreli district under " SARDAR AWAS YOJANA ".





Farm Forestry, Afforestation and Green Belt Development Programme: The Greenbelt Development Programme
(GCPTCL, KAPP, GEB, DRDA Junagadh)
Plantation works on the 35 ha. at the GCPTCL's Lakhigam site is an ongoing activity and this year about 92,245 forests trees have been maintained with near about 90% survival rate & 3500 gap filling work is completed for Mangrove & fruit plantation (Orchard) made in 1 Ha. land.
A 18 hectares green belt area has been maintained at Kakarapar Power Project near Mandvi in Surat district recorded an excellent growth rate on 2,00,000 forests trees. Survival rate is 98%.
GEB Substation sites in Vadodara and Kheda districts covering 15 ha. of land. Each of the sites have 23 different varieties of 40,000 forest trees. Maintenance work of 6574 tress from 23 different species in 5 Ha. area were completed with survival of 98% trees.
A EAS Horticulture Scheme funded by the DRDA, (Junagadh district) is provided 1 acre of land to 50 new farmers in 6 villages of Talala talukas.
