KRISHI VIGYAN KENDRA

The infrastructure development work at Krishi Vigyan Kendra as part of the Indian Council of Agriculture Research at Chaswad in Valia taluka of Bharuch district is under way. Staff & Administrative Blocks have been constructed & operated. Facilities for water and electricity supply erected. Under Front Line Demonstration various type of crops like Castro GCH -5 (5 ha.), Gram (5 ha.), Pigeon Pea GT-1 (5ha), Paddy G-5 (2 ha.), Cotton (10 ha.) are demonstrated. In Instruction farm, Diff. Vegetable Saplings & Various spices of Forestry Nursery are raised.
The Center being partly functional several Training, Extension Activities and Awareness Generation programmes have been conducted for farmers during the year 2001-2002.
