CIDA

'Swayamsiddha" project is a multi institution & multi-state initiative
to evolve gender responsive development process in 9 locations across
India. The BAIF is the co-ordinator of the project and 9 Partner organization
from 6 states are implementing this project. CIDA (Canadian International
Development Authority) has given the financial assistance for the project
& IDRC is the executive Agency for this CIDA.
Project goal is to establish mechanism and process for increased participation
in development by women who are empowered, healthy and members of a gender
responsive society.
Project purpose is to improve rural women's(and girls') health and empower
them to address their own needs, by initiating gender responsive collective
actions and institutionalizing process. During the year following are
the progress in programme.

The Integrated Tribal Development Programme focusing on conservation
of Forest development, Increasing Agricultural Production, Infrastructures
and Income generating activities is being implemented with the
support from Forest Department. This year, the WFP had sponsored
& finances the seed money for new two projects in Kelamul
